Halo, Apa kabar?
My name is Sumiyati, I’m from Ngawi, East Java, Indonesia as an amazing country and the largest archipelago. I have 2 marvelous daughters, eight and four years old. I graduated in 1994 from English Department of Muhammadiyah University Malang. I received a certificate from my course on Facilitating Learning through Effective Classroom Management and Creative Approaches to Teaching and Learning from Murdoch University.
I have been working here at NJIS since 1995. This year is the tenth year I have taught Lower School Indonesian Studies from Kindergarten through Grade 5, the second year teaching Kindergarten and Grade 1 Art, and the fifth year teaching Grade 2 and Grade 3 Art. My hobbies include reading, dancing, and playing gamelan music. In my spare time, I enjoy being with my family.
Teaching at NJIS is very exciting because it always has been wonderful challenge for me to teach students from different countries and work with experienced teachers. I am looking forward to another exciting and fun-filled school year.
