In order to enrich and give meaning to the experience of living in Indonesia, it is necessary to devote time to the study of Indonesian Studies both the language and culture of our host country. It is important to understand and appreciate the people belonging to social, cultural and ethnic groups different from one’s own. 

The Indonesian Studies program allows students to develop communication skills and at the same time encourages a positive attitude and respect towards Indonesia and its diverse range of people. The Indonesian language curriculum is enhanced by stimulating activities and games in order to help students enjoy the language acquisition process.

 

Students who have followed the Bahasa Indonesia program will establish learning patterns that will increase their chance of success when studying another language. We are also confident that students will be better prepared socially for moving on to another foreign environment.
